610-469-1717 brigidmeagher@juno.com
Brigid is an advanced practitioner with 20 years experience as a Massage Therapist, 16 as a CranioSacral Therapist with on-going training at the Upledger Institute and the CSTAlliance. Other modalities that blend in her CST sessions include SomatoEmotional Release, Myofascial Release and Reiki. Decades of involvement in pastoral ministry, volunteer service and work for world peace have profoundly influenced her therapeutic presence and compassionate touch.
CranioSacral Therapy is a deep yet gentle hands-on modality that encourages the body's own process of healing. Using manual techniques, sensitive listening skills and still points, the therapist seeks to enhance the rhythm and flow of cerebrospinal fluid throughout the body. This improvement helps the brain and central nervous system to efficiently remove toxins and receive nutrients, as well as encourages all the systems of the body to release restrictions, reduce pain and inflammation, and to self-correct. Sessions often facilitate deep relaxation, stillness or a sense of well-being on many levels.
Patients of all ages may seek CranioSacral Therapy for: neck and back pain, joint pain, migraines, post cancer symptoms, PTSD, inflammatory disorders, sinus problems, TMJ, post concussion syndrome, colic, autism, ADHD, dementia, anxiety... and more.
Brigid particularly enjoys bringing this therapy into Childcare and Eldercare settings, both for the benefits to the patient as well as the caregivers. In-home sessions are available in some cases for the comfort of those involved; fees are pro-rated according to session time and distance.
Office fees : CranioSacral Therapy $90 Massage Therapy $80
